Support for every season of your family's journey.

Pregnancy, birth, feeding, loss, and the weeks after your baby arrives each ask something different of you. I offer support for all of them, so you can find the care that fits where you are right now, and so you don’t have to start over with someone new as your needs change.

I’m Jen Nelson, a doula serving families across Eugene and Lane County. However your journey unfolds, you’ll be met with warmth, evidence-based information, and zero judgment.

Find the support you need

Birth Doula Support

You deserve to feel prepared, supported, and nourished as you make choices that line up with your own values. I offer emotional, physical, and spiritual support through pregnancy and labor, working alongside your birth team to help you stay connected to your own voice and needs.

Postpartum Doula Support

Postpartum asks a lot of you while your body heals and you learn your baby. I help you feel nourished physically and emotionally with infant care and feeding support, space to process your birth story, and practical help like meal prep, laundry, and caring for pets and siblings. Overnight and daytime support are both available.

Breastfeeding Support

As a certified breastfeeding specialist, I help with latch, positioning, milk supply, pumping, and hand expression, and I support every feeding path, including bottle, SNS, cup, and syringe feeding. Partners and support people are welcome, too. Challenges are normal, and the right support makes the difference.

Termination & Pregnancy Loss Support

Birth and death are universal experiences, and we are not meant to go through them alone. I walk alongside families experiencing pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or elective or medical termination, offering emotional, physical, and informational support, and helping you honor your baby in a way that is meaningful to your family.

Documenting your journey through photography

Alongside my doula work, I have a passion for photography. I love capturing and documenting the journeys of the families I work with, because these moments pass quickly and deserve to be remembered. Photography is also a service I offer, so if you’d like your story preserved, just ask.

Virtual support

Can’t meet in person? I also offer virtual doula support by phone or video, so you can get the help you need from wherever you are.

Insurance and payment

I want support to be within reach for our community. I currently accept Oregon Health Plan (OHP), Trillium, and some commercial health plans. Not sure whether your coverage applies? Reach out and I’ll help you figure it out.

Serving Eugene, Lane County, and the coast

I provide in-person support to families across Lane County, including Eugene, Springfield, Veneta, Mapleton, Swisshome, Walton, and Deadwood, as well as neighboring coastal communities like Coos Bay, Reedsport, and Yachats. I am happy to nourish all families regardless of their gender, sexuality, skin color, family culture, or caregiver dynamics.

Not sure which service is right for you?

That’s completely okay. Many families need more than one kind of support, and what you need may change over time. Reach out and we’ll talk through what would help most.

Let's talk about how I can support you

You don’t have to move through this alone. If you’re navigating pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or termination, I’d love to talk with you about what support could look like for your family.
