Birth Doula Support

Evidence-based, judgment-free support so you can birth on your own terms.
You deserve to feel prepared, supported, and nourished through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, and to make choices that align with your own values around birth and health care.
I’m here to give you evidence-based information so you and your family can decide what’s right for you. We all have different risk tolerance, and you know what’s best for you.
The support I offer as your birth doula
I provide emotional, physical, and spiritual support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. This is unique to each family. My role is to support your birth team, not replace them, and to help you advocate for your needs while keeping that team working together as one.
I offer:
- Continuity of care as your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum evolve ,
- Support in advocating for your needs while maintaining a cohesive birth team,
- Support in ancestral or spiritual practices around pregnancy, birth, and postpartum,
- Help navigating health care and community systems,
- Help planning and preparing for birth and postpartum
However your birth story unfolds, I’ll be there to support you through it.
Why birth doula support matters
Having a doula by your side isn’t just about comfort during labor. Research shows real, measurable benefits for you and your baby.
Studies show that working with a birth doula:
- Reduces unwanted medical interventions,
- Improves outcomes for the birthing parent and baby,
- Improves overall satisfaction with the birth experience for both the birthing parent and their partner,
- Reduces obstetrical violence,
- Positively influences the dynamic between the birthing parent and their provider,
- Is linked to shorter labors,
- Lowers the likelihood of a low APGAR score,
- Reduces the rate of postpartum depression,
- Increases the likelihood of spontaneous vaginal birth,
- Supports greater equity and more respectful care
There are no known negative effects of having a doula support your birth.

What working together looks like
Continuity of care is at the heart of how I work. Rather than meeting you for the first time when labor starts, I get to know you during pregnancy, so by the time you’re in labor, you’re supported by someone who already understands your values, your history, and what matters most to you.
We start with prenatal visits, where we talk through your birth preferences, evidence based information, your risk tolerance, and how you want to be supported, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. When labor begins, I’m with you as continuous, non-judgmental support, helping you stay connected to your own voice and needs while your birth team focuses on your health and safety. After birth, that same relationship carries into postpartum, so you’re not starting over with someone new during one of the most vulnerable seasons of your life.
You are always the center of your birth team. I’m here to walk alongside you through all of it.
